If you’re anything like me, you’ll have pondered the following question: “How do I achieve lasting change? I know where I should be, but how do I get there?”
For a long time, I wrestled with thoughts like these. I would try thinking about ‘New Year resolutions’, but wouldn’t even get to writing them. I was bound by sins and vices. And the worst part is that for a time, I believed the world’s lies that I was simply a product of my environment and that change wasn’t possible. They say depression is incurable, right? Wrong!
In Jesus, we can be changed, and it doesn’t stop there, we can literally be metamorphosed (Romans 12:2). But wait, it gets better. What if I told you that we can change effortlessly?
Because I can’t finish a whole topic in one episode, I might as well just introduce what I talk about as a ‘series’ of sorts (take it or leave it). So, in this series, that’s what I’m sharing about.
The truth about change is hidden in the parable of the sower. “A sower went out to sow his seed …”
Thing is, there’s a catch to this. We have to labour to change effortlessly. A contradiction? No. How? Tune in to here more, cause it’s not what you think.
